Traders with skill have large gains after 100 trades and are relatively quiet, traders that were lucky have huge gains after a few trades and are very loud, then very quiet for the next few trades that usually bring their account to zero.
Traders with skill risk 1% to 2% of their trading capital per trade and win in the long term, traders that are just lucky risk the majority of their account for a few big wins in the short term but lose in the long term when their luck runs out.
Traders with skill use a successful method with different stocks, currencies, commodities, future markets while traders with just luck are only successful with one lucky pick in one of those markets and when its up trend ends their winning streak ends.
Traders with skill have winning track records over many years, traders with only luck only have winning track records measured in months.
Traders with skill have risk management as a top priority, traders with only luck do not understand why risk management is important, yet.

He also warns that if humans want to avoid permanent extinction, we should be making plans to evacuate the earth.
Hawking claims that mankind will destroy the earth making it a fireball within the next 600 years. The renowned physicist believes soaring population sizes and consequential increasing demands for energy and food will lead to the catastrophe. Hawking also says that humanity should begin looking to the stars to avoid this fate, with our nearest neighbor Alpha Centauri the best candidate for our escape. Hawking also urged financial backers to put funds behind a project that would send probes to the star system.
The Alpha Centauri system is the closest star system to our sun and consists of three stars. Of those three stars, Proxima is the closest to our sun. At a mere 4.367 light years away, on our sky’s dome, we see this multiple star system as a single star – the third-brightest star visible from Earth. And it’s this system that Hawking has his eye on.

Other than selling stocks short, I don’t know of any long-side method that works that great in a bear market. Very few stocks, even value stocks, can survive the wrath of a true bear decline.

The best leading stocks generally see their big performance a year or two into a bull market. I focus on those stocks in order to make a huge return in a relative short period of time. There is no need to be in the market all the time; in fact, I think there is grave danger in doing so. It’s like going out on a boat trip: you want to go out when the sky is blue and the seas are calm. Sure, you could stay out there and brave a hurricane and there would be a chance you’d make it through, but why would you want to do that, and how many times would you survive those conditions?
