Trump: If China doesn’t do what US wants, US has lots of options

Trump on China trade talks

  • Chinese delegation coming next week for trade talks
  • Says he would like Ukraine to investigate the Bidens
  • North Korea wants to talk and US will be talking

The China comments are tame, he isn’t promising anything. That’s a bit worrisome.

  • French CAC +0.6%
  • Italy MIB +0.4%
  • Spain IBEX +0.2%
Germany was holiday today for the national day of unity.

Closing changes for the main bourses:

Sensitive to poor data

Sensitive to poor data

The last couple of days has seen some heavy selling in stocks and the question now is , ‘what will keep the fall in stocks going?’. One key factor will be the US factory orders and ISM nion-manufacturing data out later. If these show declines or miss expectations the fall should continue with Friday’s NFP the last major data point of the week and the final catalyst, for better or for worse for stocks.
