Germany’s DAX index to expand from 30 to 40 stocks – additions to be revealed today

Exchange operator Deutsche Boerse to reveal the changes September 3

  • expanded membership of 40 firms, up from 30

Criteria for joining have been tightened:

  • firms will have to publish audited reports
  • show two years of positive earnings
  • have to comply with Germany’s Corporate Governance Code (requires formation of audit committees)
Some of those tipped to join:
  • Airbus
  • Beiersdorf (Nivea creams makerĀ )
  • Zalando (online fashion retailer)
